A stunning dessert featuring a crisp meringue shell and a fluffy interior, topped with fresh berries.

Ingredients

  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • 1 cup strawberries, halved
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • Mint leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
  2. Beat the egg whites until soft peaks form.
  3. Gradually add sugar while continuing to whip until glossy and stiff peaks form.
  4. Fold in cornstarch and vinegar gently to maintain airiness.
  5. Shape the meringue onto a lined baking tray.
  6. Bake for about 90 minutes, allowing it to dry and keep its chewy interior.
  7. Cool completely before topping.
  8. Add whipped cream and top with an assortment of fresh berries.

Notes

Best served immediately after assembling. Store meringue separately to maintain crispness.
