Warm, inviting loaf of homemade banana bread that’s perfectly moist and subtly sweet. Ideal for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Mix in the melted butter.
  4. Add the baking soda and salt to the batter.
  5. Stir in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until combined.
  6. Gradually fold in the flour, being careful not to overmix.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For added flavor, consider mixing in chocolate chips or nuts. To enhance sweetness, use overripe bananas.
