Ingredients

- 2–3 lb beef chuck roast
- 1 packet au jus seasoning mix
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 6–8 rolls or baguettes
- Provolone or Swiss cheese slices (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Place the beef chuck roast in the Crockpot. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, mix together the au jus seasoning, beef broth, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour the mixture over the roast.
- Cover and cook on low for 480-600 minutes or on high for 240-300 minutes until the meat is tender and shreds easily.
- Once cooked, remove the roast from the pot and shred the meat.
- Return the shredded beef to the broth and stir to combine.
- Serve on rolls, topped with cheese if desired.
- Strain the broth for au jus and serve it alongside the sandwiches for dipping.
Notes
Store leftover meat in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat gently for best results.
