A delightful dessert combining zesty lemon flavor with sweet strawberries, perfect for any celebration or a cheerful treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your cake pans.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Gradually add the eggs and lemon zest, mixing until well combined.
  4. Whisk the dry ingredients in a separate bowl and gently fold them into the wet mixture.
