Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup milk
- 3 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup whipped cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a 9×13 inch cake pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Combine the flour and baking powder, then gradually mix into the creamed mixture alternately with the milk.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool before frosting with whipped cream and topping with strawberries.
