A delightful and moist cake perfect for celebrating Mother’s Day.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a 9×13 inch cake pan.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Combine the flour and baking powder, then gradually mix into the creamed mixture alternately with the milk.
  6. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Let the cake cool before frosting with whipped cream and topping with strawberries.
