A visually striking cake with layers of blush pink and white, perfect for celebrations and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Food coloring (blush pink)
  • Fresh berries or edible flowers for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  3. Combine dry ingredients in a separate bowl.
  4. Alternate adding the dry mixture with milk to the batter, mixing until just combined.
  5. Divide the batter into two bowls and tint one with pink food coloring.
  6. Pour the batter into prepared cake pans and bake until golden.
  7. Cool the layers completely before frosting.

Notes

Let butter come to room temperature before creaming for best results. Monitor baking time closely to avoid overbaking.
