Sweet and creamy tarts featuring a buttery crust, velvety honey custard, and fresh strawberries – the perfect dessert for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons ice water
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, butter, powdered sugar, and salt until crumbly.
  3. Add the egg yolk and ice water; mix until dough forms.
  4. Roll out the dough and press into tart pans.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden. Let cool.
  6. Whisk eggs, honey, and milk in a saucepan over gentle heat until thickened.
  7. Pour custard into the cooled crust and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  8. Top with sliced strawberries before serving.

Notes

These tarts are best enjoyed chilled. Serve with a dusting of powdered sugar or whipped cream.
