A delightful and comforting brioche casserole soaked in a creamy custard, perfect for brunch or holidays.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf brioche, cubed
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sweetener (sugar, maple syrup, or honey)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Maple syrup for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease your casserole dish.
  2. Whisk together eggs, milk, sweetener, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl.
  3. Layer cubed brioche in the casserole dish, ensuring even distribution.
  4. Pour the custard mixture over the brioche, ensuring every piece is soaked.
  5. Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best flavor.
  6. Uncover and bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
