Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add diced tomatoes (with juice) to the skillet and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and Italian seasoning, simmer for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, mixing well to coat. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
Use fresh garlic for the best flavor. You can customize with vegetables or proteins according to your preference.
