Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp rosemary
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cucumber, grated
- 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
- 4 pitas
- Fresh veggies (cucumber, tomatoes, red onion) for serving
Instructions
- Season the chicken with oregano, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
- Add the chicken to the crockpot along with lemon juice and garlic.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Prepare the tzatziki sauce by mixing yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, and dill.
- Once the chicken is cooked, shred it with two forks.
- Assemble the pitas with shredded chicken and tzatziki sauce, and top with fresh veggies.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate chicken overnight. Use dairy-free yogurt for a vegan version.
