Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups powdered sugar (for frosting)
- ½ cup unsalted butter (for frosting)
- Festive sprinkles for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder) in one bowl.
- Whisk together wet ingredients (eggs, milk, butter, vanilla) in another bowl.
- Mix the wet and dry ingredients until just combined.
- Pour the batter into lined cupcake tins.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until they spring back when pressed.
- Cool the cupcakes completely before frosting.
- Frost with buttercream and decorate with sprinkles.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free flour and for a dairy-free option, substitute dairy-free butter.
