Delight in this French Toast Casserole, a blend of classic French toast and a baked casserole for an easy, delicious treat.

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 loaf brioche or challah bread, cut into cubes
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Maple syrup for drizzling
  • Fresh fruit (optional)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the eggs, milk, and sugar until smooth.
  2. Add in the cinnamon and nutmeg.
  3. Cut the bread into cubes and place them in a greased baking dish.
  4. Pour the custard mixture evenly over the bread, pressing down gently.
  5. Allow it to sit for at least 30 minutes to soak up the custard.
