A comforting and creamy one-pan meal featuring seasoned ground beef and elbow macaroni in a cheesy sauce, ready in about 25 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until no pink remains.
  3. Drain off any excess fat.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and milk, then stir in onion powder, garlic powder, and a pinch of black pepper.
  5. Bring the liquid up to a boil.
  6. Add the elbow macaroni, reduce the heat to low, and cover the skillet.
  7. Let it simmer gently for 10–12 minutes, stirring once or twice, until the macaroni is tender.
  8. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheese until it melts.
  9. Serve warm, adjusting seasoning if needed.

Notes

For dairy-free, use plant milk and dairy-free cheese. For a lighter meal, use lean ground beef or a mix with turkey.
