Instructions
- Cream together the butter and lavender-infused sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Mix the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Alternate adding the dry mixture with the lemon juice and zest into the batter.
- Pour the mixture into a prepared cake pan.
- Bake until golden brown, about 25-30 minutes.
- Cool before frosting with lemon icing.
Notes
Using room temperature ingredients helps achieve a smooth and fluffy batter. Don’t overbake; the cake should spring back when pressed gently.
