Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 3/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh oregano, chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 cup marinara sauce (optional for serving)
- Your choice of pasta or bread (optional for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, egg, parsley, oregano, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl until well blended.
- Shape the mixture into small meatballs and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
- Serve with marinara sauce and pasta or use in sub sandwiches, garnished with fresh herbs.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, substitute breadcrumbs with gluten-free alternatives. Let the meatballs rest for a couple of minutes after baking for better moisture retention.
