  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 3/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh oregano, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup marinara sauce (optional for serving)
  • Your choice of pasta or bread (optional for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, egg, parsley, oregano, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl until well blended.
  3. Shape the mixture into small meatballs and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
  5. Serve with marinara sauce and pasta or use in sub sandwiches, garnished with fresh herbs.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, substitute breadcrumbs with gluten-free alternatives. Let the meatballs rest for a couple of minutes after baking for better moisture retention.
