A comforting and delightful warm dessert featuring sweet peaches under a golden, buttery crust.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)
  • 1 cup milk (or coconut milk)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Cinnamon or nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the peaches and toss them with 1/2 cup of sugar.
  3. Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining sugar in a bowl.
  4. Add melted butter and milk to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into a baking dish.
  6. Layer the peaches over the batter.
  7. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden and bubbly.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Can be frozen for up to three months.
